Got Questions About The Bartell Kids Choir?

What if my child is shy or has never sung in a group before?

That’s exactly who this choir is for. We specialize in helping shy kids feel safe, start small, and build confidence week by week in a fun, supportive setting.

Does my child need experience or ā€œtalentā€ to join?

No. We welcome all levels. Our job is to meet your child where they are and help them grow from there.

How long is each rehearsal and how often do you meet?

We meet once a week for a 1‑hour rehearsal. It’s enough time to make real progress without overwhelming busy families.

Is $20 per session really a good value?

Yes. Your child gets weekly expert‑led rehearsals, mini vocal lessons, community, and a full Fox Theatre performance, plus bonuses like a professional video and practice tracks. Most parents tell us the confidence alone is worth it.

My child isn’t very ā€œmusical.ā€ Will they be able to keep up?

Absolutely. We use games, call‑and‑response, and simple harmonies to make music accessible and fun. The goal is confidence and joy, not perfection or competition.

What if my child loses interest during the season?

We keep rehearsals active and engaging, and the upcoming Fox performance plus new friendships give kids a strong reason to stick with it. And with our ā€œfirst 2 rehearsals, risk‑freeā€ guarantee, you’re protected if it truly isn’t a fit.

This is a new program. How do I know it will be worth it?

Bartell Music Academy has been serving Spokane families for over 20 years and has 60+ 5‑star Google reviews. The choir uses the same proven methods that have helped hundreds of local kids grow in music and confidence.

What happens if my child has to miss a rehearsal?

Life happens. If your child needs to miss a week, they can use our digital practice tracks to review at home, and we’ll quickly catch them up at the next rehearsal. We just ask that you avoid missing the final rehearsals leading up to the Fox Theatre performance if possible.
