Got Questions About The Bartell Teens Choir?

What if my teen is shy or has never sung in a group before?

That’s totally fine. Many of our teens start out nervous or quiet. We ease into singing, keep the group supportive, and help each student participate at a pace that feels safe while their confidence grows.

Does my teen need experience or “talent” to join?

No. We welcome all levels. Our job is to meet your teen where they are, give them clear guidance, and help them improve week by week.

How long is each rehearsal and how often do you meet?

We meet once a week for a 1‑hour rehearsal. It’s enough time to make real progress without adding a huge load to your teen’s schedule.

Is $20 per session really a good value?

Yes. Your teen gets weekly expert‑led rehearsals, work on harmony and stage presence, a full Fox Theatre performance, plus bonuses like a professional show video and practice tracks. Most parents tell us the confidence and community alone are worth it.

My teen isn’t very “musical.” Will they be able to keep up?

Absolutely. We choose approachable arrangements, teach parts step‑by‑step, and use demos and practice tracks so teens can review at home. The goal is improvement and enjoyment, not perfection.

What if my teen loses interest during the season?

We keep rehearsals active and engaging, and the upcoming Fox performance plus friendships in the group give teens a strong reason to stick with it. And with our “first 2 rehearsals, risk‑free” guarantee, you’re protected if it truly isn’t a fit.

How do I know it will be worth it?

Bartell Music Academy has been serving Spokane families for over 20 years and has 60+ 5‑star Google reviews. The choir uses the same proven methods that have helped hundreds of local kids grow in music and confidence.

What happens if my teen has to miss a rehearsal?

We understand teens have busy schedules. If they need to miss a week, they can use our digital practice tracks to catch up, and we’ll review key parts at the next rehearsal. We just ask that they avoid missing the final rehearsals leading up to the Fox performance if possible.
