FROM THE FOUNDER
At Bartell Music Academy, we don't just teach teens how to sing.
We help them find their voice, build real confidence, and discover what they're capable of when someone actually believes in them and pushes them to grow.
The teen years are when most of them quit music. Not because they don't love it, but because they never get the right environment to grow. Too casual and they get bored. Too rigid and they shut down.
Our Teens Choir is built differently.
Structured enough to produce real results. Encouraging enough that your teen actually wants to show up on Saturday morning.
Because when a teen steps off that stage and realizes what they just did, something shifts. That confidence doesn't stay in the choir room. It follows them everywhere.
We have 30 spots. If your teen has ever wanted to perform, this is where it starts.
Warmly,
Patricia Bartell

A confidence-building performance experience.
The Bartell Teens Choir is built for teens who love music, want to perform, or simply need something structured and meaningful to invest their Saturday mornings in this summer.
Every Saturday at 11 AM, your teen will rehearse with a group of peers, coached by Autumn Tucker, whose structured, encouraging rehearsals make every Saturday something your teen looks forward to.
This isn't casual. It's real training, real progress, and a real outdoor performance on August 9th that your teen will talk about long after the summer ends.
"Your teen won't just sing in a choir. They'll discover what their voice can actually do."
This Isn't a Kids Choir.
There's no hand-holding, no silly songs, and no performing for an audience of five people in a school gym.
This is 12 weeks of vocal training, real rehearsals, and a real outdoor performance in front of the Spokane community on August 9th.
Autumn (your choir director) doesn't treat you like a kid. She'll coach you and help you find out what your voice can actually do.
If you've ever wanted to perform, this is where you take the leap.

That’s totally fine. Many of our teens start out nervous or quiet. We ease into singing, keep the group supportive, and help each student participate at a pace that feels safe while their confidence grows.
No. We welcome all levels. Our job is to meet your teen where they are, give them clear guidance, and help them improve week by week.
We meet once a week for a 1‑hour rehearsal. It’s enough time to make real progress without adding a huge load to your teen’s schedule.

Absolutely. We choose approachable arrangements, teach parts step‑by‑step, and use demos and practice tracks so teens can review at home. The goal is improvement and enjoyment, not perfection.
We keep rehearsals active and engaging, and the upcoming Concert in the Park plus friendships in the group give teens a strong reason to stick with it. And with our “first 2 rehearsals, risk‑free” guarantee, you’re protected if it truly isn’t a fit.
As a Bartell Teens Choir Member, your teen gets early access to reserve their spot in the Holiday Choir Season before we open to the public. Most teens who complete summer continue into fall. From there, the journey leads to our Spring Gala Concert.
We understand teens have busy schedules. If they need to miss a week, they can use our digital practice tracks to catch up, and we’ll review key parts at the next rehearsal. We just ask that they avoid missing the final rehearsals leading up to the Fox performance if possible.
